Everyone, stop what you're doing and check out the Oregon dunes! But only if it's July-August and the forecast is SUNNY, because wet sand sticks to absolutely everything. Forever.
We had such an amazing time here. It felt like we had the beach/ocean/world to ourselves most of the time, the views were gorgeous, and it's fun to drive around in the dunes. Allie learned how to drive stick (on the beach), and Jim learned how to best get the car unstuck from ridiculously impossible situations. It magically was dry & sunny all day but then poured all night, which didn't suck at all until packing up the sand caked tents in the morning. We listened to a lot of Bob, and some country, wish a dash of Ace of Base, and let the waves & dune driving ease our minds :) Here are some clips and music...
We are currently in Napa (Jim has already signed up to be a member of approximately 13 wineries) and we'll be here for the rest of the day before heading to San Francisco tonight! Will update with more soon...
