Entering Oooootah

After waking up half baked from the sun in Vegas, we hit the road toward Utah! We were exhausted from a 4 hour sleep, so we were on the hunt for a shady place to nap...

This campground we found in Hurricane was one of the best surprises of our trip so far - such a perfect place to stop for the night on our way to Zion!

We woke up and drove the 1/2 hour to Zion! We hiked about 4 miles of the Narrows, wading through the river - a great way to spend a 95* day.

After exploring Zion we headed half way to Moab, UT to crash for the night.

Side note for you all: We are actually in Austin, TX at the moment, and will be back in Boston by next weekend! Since Zion we've been to Moab & Telluride, and through New Mexico and 1/2 of Texas, and so we'll be catching up on those posts ASAP.

Thanks for all of the awesome comments, we love hearing from you all!

  2. Aunt Nancy said it perfectly....I think all of your friends and family will miss peaking into the grand, lively, fluid, colorful living world of America and of the adventures of A and J....if only everyone could share such beauty and memories with each other, this world really would be a better more magical place!!! thanks for sharing your memories....and thank you, Dean and Lisa, for allowing your daughter to travel 6000 miles with my son, entrusting her safety with him....let's share a 'deanarita' or 'lisarita' sometime in the near future!!

  3. Ah-may-zing! Awesome pics guys! Looks like you are putting the dslr to good work! Thanks for sharing your journey with us...I know the pictures alone cannot even describe the unbelievable time you're having fully, but it sure helps us get a fraction of a taste of the fun you're having! Keep up the great picture taking! Open up the Aperture just a tiny bit when focusing on a particular object; sceneries are well shot!
